Candlepin Bowling Alley
Candlepin bowling is a unique variant of bowling that finds its roots in the New England region of the United States and the Canadian Maritime provinces. The game is played with balls that are significantly smaller than those used in the more commonly known tenpin bowling, weighing only about two pounds and seven ounces and lacking finger holes. The pins, resembling candles, hence the name, are also thinner and taller than their tenpin counterparts. This makes the game more challenging as players get three attempts per frame to knock down all the pins, which stay where they fall between throws. With no perfect games recorded to date, Candlepin bowling offers a fun, yet demanding twist on traditional bowling.

Originating from Baltimore, Maryland, Duckpin bowling is a variation of the traditional bowling game but with a twist. The pins are shorter and squatter, resembling a 'duck' in shape, hence the name. The balls are also smaller, about the size of a grapefruit, and without finger holes, making them easy for all ages to handle.
